11. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not treat our staff, instructors, studio, and other students with kindness and respect.
12. Desert Moon Wellness exists to create a safe space and promote wellness within the community. We do not serve DHS employees, including ICE and CBP, their spouses, and any contractors or subcontractors working on the border wall. Construction of the border wall involves razing of public and private lands, needless destruction of local flora, and cutting off local fauna from migration routes and their water source in the desert (which leads to death). In Arizona, DHS is violating treaties with indigenous peoples by invading tribal land belonging to the Tohono O’odham Nation, killing ancient trees and putting protesters in life-threatening situations, and actively destroying Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. In Big Bend, construction depends on the waiver of 30+ environmental laws, and will blow up mountains and cut through ancestral gravesites, historic buildings, and areas of great cultural significance. Construction will decimate the river industry and negatively impact tourism across the region. All this, in addition to the appalling and lawless behavior we have seen from DHS across the country, actively threatens the community's economic, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and there is no space for the people enabling it at this studio.
